Alameda Project

Finally!  After waiting for a gorgeous marble topped coffee table to make its appearance the Alameda Project wraps up for stage 1- The Grown Up Living Room.  The clients have two adorable little boys that have a well padded basement for their superman attempts, wrestling matches and ottoman surfing…but what about when the grown up’s don’t want to step on Lego’s or Transformers and want to sit down, relax and enjoy a glass of wine?  By taking an empty room in their new Alameda home and filling it with an eclectic mix of playfully sophisticated items and custom furniture, we created a beautiful room right off the entry for them to enjoy as well as entertain their friends and family.

A bit on the items:

The accent chairs were her Grandmothers that we had stripped, painted, and reupholstered in the delicious Bengal Bazar by Kelly Wearstler.  Sofa is custom in a soft charcoal wool diamond print and brass nailhead.  The wool and jute rug is soft to the touch, durable, adds texture and a subtle natural element.  The marble and gilded iron coffee table and stone side tables are from trade vendors as is the glass side table lamp and white resin floor lamp.  Garden stools, art and accessories provided by Loot Design House & Mercantile.  All design done by Loot Design House, as well as staging.  Project designer: Hanna Jones of Loot Design House.

  1. I love those chairs. I mean, I want to snatch them right out of that living room.
