On the Up and Up

The staircase that is.  Runner’s are often one of those things that we neglect but really, wherever your stairs start and stop, they can and should be treated as their own room.  It is a great opportunity to add the layers that create the edited home, the details that others disregard and a feeling/theme to a space that you generally cannot help but traverse.  Why not make it special?  You can go preppy with stripes, fun with an animal print or classic with a solid wool or seagrass…want to amp it up one more “edited” level?  Add  a runner rod and you are down right classy! {via Houzz, Lonny, Elle Décor}
