Stacking. The art of.  You know when you go to a friend's house and it is always “dialed”?  You look at their coffee table/desk/dresser/side table/bar/______(fill in the blank….really anything they have!) and it looks edited and put together (you now flash into your mind and cringe at what your coffee table looks like…controllers, magazines, last nights snack plate….) well, stop cringing because you can have it too!

All it takes is
A) some good books 
B) Some interesting items  and
C) a place to hide everything else!

Lonny Mag delivers once again with some great images of “stacked” stuff.  Some tips…put like things together, build UP, symmetry rocks, play with scale and display the things you love!

Little Trays- great way to display small scale with out them being lost!

Layering a little photo in front ties the scale of the scull and a super personal touch.

Black and White bindings never go out of style.  Layer some art and Boom! 

Again, trays trays trays…they take the guess work out.

Guys- you can do it too! Pile up great magazines like Wallpaper and Arch Digest.  Put something small on top to signify that you collected these for a reason, there is purpose.

Kelly is the queen of this!  Pile of books and little oddity.  Perfect.

Create a statement with just a single pile of interesting spines and subjects.

Lay them down!  Your eye will catch on a bookcase with some books that are horizontal vs all vertical.  It is also a great way to add in a vase/photo etc!
